Mt.
Hide Outfitters has some of the best whitetail hunting ranches in Kansas. Our
ranches lie in the southern portion of the state in units 15 and 16. These are
agricultural areas that vary form CRP grass with brushy draws to thick river
bottom hardwoods. Bow-stands are positioned on transitional trails between
feeding and bedding areas. This hunt takes place during the peak of the rut and
the action can be amazing. Bow-stands and blinds are positioned on transitional
trails between the feeding and bedding areas in the primary travel corridors. Hunters will have an excellent opportunity at
harvesting Pope and Young class animals and these areas produce many Boone and
Crockett qualifiers every year. Archers will need to apply for the statewide
draw. The application deadline is May 31st, 2008. Hunters who are
unsuccessful in the drawing will be able to purchase landowner permits. For
drawing applications contact the

Department of Wildlife and Parks at (620) 672-5911 or contact us
